Sydney Sweeney Turns Viral Fan Requests Into Reality with Limited-Edition Bathwater Soap

The Euphoria star teams up with Dr. Squatch to launch a limited-edition soap made with her actual bathwater—combining bold marketing, natural ingredients, and viral fan demand into one unforgettable bar.

The Euphoria star teams up with Dr. Squatch to release a bizarre-yet-brilliant $8 soap bar infused with her actual bathwater — and it smells as good as it sounds weird.

Sydney Sweeney is embracing the weird — and making it smell incredible. The Anyone But You and Euphoria actress has teamed up with natural personal care brand Dr. Squatch to launch what may be the most unconventional celebrity collaboration yet: a limited-edition soap made using her actual bathwater.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The product, cheekily titled Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, is crafted from water used during the filming of Sweeney’s viral 2023 Dr. Squatch commercial. In that playful ad, the 27-year-old actress lounged in a bubble bath and called out to all the “dirty little boys” watching who were, as she teasingly noted, “interested in my body… wash.” That unforgettable moment sparked a surge of fan comments asking for her bathwater — and now, she’s delivering.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sweeney said in a press release. “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable — it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love.”

The result is a bar that’s as tongue-in-cheek as it is thoughtfully formulated. Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss includes exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, and aromatic notes of pine, Douglas fir, and moss — evoking the fresh scent of the outdoors (even if some buyers rarely venture there). And yes, it’s made using the actual bathwater from her now-iconic commercial shoot.

“There’s no playbook for turning Sydney Sweeney’s actual bathwater into a bar of soap,” admitted John Ludeke, SVP of Global Marketing at Dr. Squatch. “But that’s exactly why we did it. We thrive on ideas that make you laugh and encourage you to think about what’s in your personal care products. This bar is bizarre, unexpected, and meant to spark conversation — and maybe even a switch to natural ingredients.”

The product announcement sent social media into a frenzy. While some fans declared, “Thanks, I’ll take 100,” others were a bit more hesitant, with one commenter adding, “Sydney honey I love you but I don’t know about this.” Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum, the buzz is undeniable.

Only 5,000 bars of Bathwater Bliss will be made, each priced at $8 and accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity. The soap goes on sale June 6 at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT, and if you’re among the truly dedicated, you might want to set a reminder — they’re expected to sell out fast.

To build anticipation, Dr. Squatch is also running a sweepstakes via Instagram and its official website, giving 100 lucky U.S. residents a chance to win a free bar.

As for Sweeney, she’s unbothered by the unconventional nature of it all. “Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products,” she said, “and pushes them towards natural.”

And if a little bit of Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater helps them get there — well, so be it.
