Model opens up about painful breakup, Sydney Sweeney rumors, and the toll of public scrutiny on her three-year relationship with Glen Powell.
Gigi Paris is speaking out for the first time about her breakup with Glen Powell, offering raw insight into a deeply personal chapter overshadowed by Hollywood speculation and romantic rumors involving Powell’s co-star Sydney Sweeney.
During an emotionally candid appearance on the Too Much podcast hosted by Emma Klipstein, Paris revealed that the cracks in her three-year relationship with Powell began forming six months before their official split in April 2023. She shared that much of the strain came from the intense public scrutiny surrounding Powell’s chemistry with his Anyone but You co-star Sydney Sweeney — who at the time was still engaged to producer Jonathan Davino.

“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public,” Paris said. “Like, don’t make an ass out of me… have some decency.”
Paris never directly named Powell or Sweeney during the interview, but she alluded to the social media frenzy and headlines that speculated a possible off-screen romance between the two actors. The speculation gained traction during the filming of Anyone but You in Australia, where fans caught glimpses of Powell and Sweeney appearing unusually close. Paris said she even flew “halfway across the world” to confront Powell, only to be told not to visit.

“He called and said, ‘The producers and I have discussed that I think it’s best that you don’t come to visit’… and that’s when I hung up,” she recalled. “That phone call really is what broke me.”
Paris said the lack of public defense from Powell during the media storm added to the heartbreak. “The bare minimum of any relationship is to have your partner’s back,” she said. “Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend’? That was never said. Not once.”
Despite feeling like she was “fed to the dogs,” Paris made it clear that she chose self-respect over silence. “I had two options,” she said. “Pretend like I was okay with it, or stand up for myself — so I walked away. I was shattered.”
The situation only worsened when she learned that Powell and Sweeney allegedly later referred to their public flirtation as a PR stunt. “Make-believe was more important than the real thing,” Paris said, lamenting that her private reality was sacrificed for professional optics.

When asked whether she ever got clarity on whether Powell had been unfaithful, Paris said, “I have no confirmation of what actually happened. I just know what my standards are. And for me, it just wasn’t okay the way it was handled, period.”
Now, with Powell and Sweeney continuing to make headlines amid Sweeney’s own breakup with Davino, Paris insists she’s moved on. “If they’re meant to be, they’re meant to be. It’s none of my business anymore,” she said. “It’s a f—ing circus. The way that they handle things for headlines — I don’t live that way. So you do you.”
Gigi Paris may have exited the spotlight of a high-profile relationship, but she’s walking away with her voice, clarity, and hard-earned peace.
